Household Bottles, Jugs, Jars & Other Items

Recycling of plastic containers #1 and #2 is required by law (accepted curbside). The Monroe County Recycling Center also accepts from haulers certain plastic items #s 3-7 (and additional non-container #s 1-2) for recycling/energy recovery. All plastic items should be rinsed clean with lids and caps attached (no Styrofoam egg cartons, meat trays, takeout containers, coffee cups, etc.).

Open to the public with reduced disposal rates for residents of Perinton and Macedon (see its website for instructions). Household recyclables can be dropped off free-of-charge regardless of residency.
