MONROE ON THE JOB

Monroe On The Job is a training initiative. The program is available to companies participating in qualified certification programs which lead to an industry recognized certification or transferable credential.

Program expenses are eligible for reimbursement, up to $4,000 per employee or $16,000 per company. Employers must match at least 50% of the total program cost. Employee wages are not eligible training costs. Funds will be paid directly to the Employer upon satisfactory evidence of training completion.

  • LiDestri Food & Beverage
    Lidestri Food and Beverage is the premier manufacturer of sauces, dips and salsas in the United States. After considering a facility in South Carolina, LiDestri undertook a $60 Million project to create a state of the art spirits and sauce plant in Monroe County. In 2013, LiDestri undertook another project to create their Innovation Center of Excellence to support their food, beverage and spirits businesses.
  • The Genesee Brewery
    The Genesee Brewery, based in Rochester, New York, is one of the largest and oldest continually operating breweries in the United States and is part of North American Breweries.  Once a century-old packaging center, The Genesee Brew House has transformed the 9,200 square-foot space into a beer destination for upstate New York and beyond. The first floor of the Brew House features interactive exhibits, multi-media content, a gift shop and a pilot brewery complete with a tasting bar. Upstairs, there is a pub-style restaurant with a 41-foot bar (hand-crafted out of old, wooden Genesee brewing tanks), outdoor terrace seating and a rooftop patio.
