The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is no longer filling requests for motor vehicle accident reports by U.S. mail. For your convenience, motor vehicle accident reports taken after Deceber 1, 2009, may be obtained by one of the following ways.
You may purchase a report for $5.00 by clicking here or contact PoliceReports.US at (800) 489-0190 to set up an account.
You may appear in person at our office located at 130 South Plymouth Avenue between the hours of 8am and 7pm, Monday to Thursday and Friday between the hours of 8am and 5pm. Photo identification is required.
You may file a Freedom of Information (FOIL) request by going to www.monroecounty.gov and completing the foil request form and submitting the request to the address at the bottom of the form.
For motor vehicle accident reports that occurred before December 1, 2009, or if you have any other questions, please contact the Sheriff’s Central Records Unit at (585) 753-4178.
Fingerprinting services are available for all County residents for employment and pistol permit applications at the Sheriff's Central Records Unit. Fingerprinting services are available Monday-Thursday, 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m and 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.; and Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. There is a $25.00 fee for fingerprints.
