Badging Requirements

Individuals who require unescorted access to the Air Operations Area (AOA), Restricted, Secured or Sterile Areas must possess an Airport issued photo ID card. Card issuance is limited to those individuals who have cleared the FBI-based criminal history check as well as the TSA-based Security Threat Assessment (STA) and have a frequent and reoccurring need for access. In addition, all card applicants must provide documentation that establishes identity and employment eligibility.

Fingerprint sessions and SIDA classes are by appointment ONLY.

The first step to the identification process is to make arrangments to be fingerprinted.

Contact the ROC Badging office at (585) 753-7082 or to make an appointment.

Badging Office Hours are Monday - Friday 9 am - 5pm; Closed 1pm - 1:30pm.

Do not arrange to be fingerprinted until instructed to do so by your employer.

On your initial appointment you will be required to provide two (2) forms of identification, as outlined HERE, as well as a completed Identification Application and Certification of Background form properly filled out and signed by both you and your airport employer.

Please pay close attention to the requirements for identification. You will need one form of I.D. from list A, or one form from each list B and C.  You must bring original documentation, copies cannot be accepted.
The most common acceptable identification is a U.S. Passport, or a drivers liscense combined with a Social Security card. Identification requirements must be met, and expired I.D. cannot be accepted.
The second step will be to take a SIDA Class.
Do not come to SIDA training until you have successfully completed the fingerprinting process outlined above. Please note that it may take up to 3 weeks for fingerprint results to be come back. Please plan in advance.
Employee airport badges will not be issued until the successful completion of the SIDA class at the conclusion of the class on the day you are registered.
SIDA Classes are offered Tuesdays from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm, Wednesdays from 10:00 am - 12 noon or Thursdays from 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm.
The fee to register a company at the Airport is $50.  It is an additional $50 per person for the badging process.  Badges expire after 1 year.
