Long Pond Road Rehabilitation Project

This is a Monroe County Department of Transportation contract. The Contractor for the project is Zoladz Construction, and the Engineer for the project is T.Y. Lin International. The project is scheduled to begin on or about May 15, 2017.

The project involves the rehabilitation of Long Pond Road between Lake Ontario State Parkway and Edgemere Drive. The improvements include pavement milling and resurfacing, driveway aprons, grading, new closed drainage systems in some areas, pavement markings, and some ongoing utility work.

The Contractor has been awarded a contract to begin highway construction work and will begin work by stripping topsoil, establishing erosion control devices, and then begin various drainage improvements. Some mailboxes will be temporarily displaced during construction; they will remain fully functional in a temporary location and will be restored to their original location before the end of the project.

On some days there will be alternating one-way traffic with flaggers, but a full road closure will not be required. For the safety of the workers and public, please obey the flaggers. The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of September 2017. This project involves coordinating several construction activities, and we ask for your patience throughout the project.

You may call the Resident Engineer, Gary Schlabach, at 585-448-0336 to address any concerns you may have during construction.
