Household garbage is NOT ACCEPTED at ecopark (including bagged waste, construction waste, carpet, pool liners/tarps, lumber, etc.).

Contact a local waste collector for options. Some entities offer household garbage drop-off for a fee.

Single Use Plastics

Single Use Plastics are NOT recyclable curbside or at ecopark and should be placed in the trash.

Single Use Plastics Illustrations

  • Plastic Straws
  • Plastic Utensils
  • Plastic Cups/Solo Cups
  • Etc.

Due to their small size and diversity of plastic resin types, these materials cannot be properly sorted at the recycling plant. These items should always be disposed of in the trash. Use reusable items instead to reduce waste.

Plastic Flower/Plant Pots/Trays

Plastic Flower Pots/Trays are NOT recyclable curbside or at ecopark. See Lowes retail take back program for recycling or community programs such as take back at Public Market.

Fiberglass

Fiberglass is NOT recyclable curbside or at ecopark.

Mattresses

Mattresses can be recycled for a fee through Triad Recycling and Energy, located in Tonawanda, NY.

Vinyl Materials

 Vinyl materials are NOT recyclable curbside or at ecopark.

Rubber Materials

Rubber materials (excluding rubber tires) are NOT accepted at ecopark for recycling.

  • Rubber Gloves (any variety)
  • Inner Tubes
  • Garden Hoses
  • Boots
  • Rubber Bands
  • Bike Tires
  • Rubber Balls
  • Etc.

CD/DVD Cases

CD/DVD Cases are NOT recyclable curbside or at ecopark and should be placed in the trash.

Compostable/Degradable Items

Compostable or degradable foodservice items, such as clamshells, utensils, or cups, are NOT recyclable curbside or at ecopark. Compost where accepted or dispose in trash.

Three Ring Binders

Three ring binders are NOT accepted curbside or at ecopark due to their multi-material composition.

Water filters (such as Brita filers) are NOT accepted at ecopark.

Paper Cups IllustrationPaper Cups (Fountain Soda, To-Go Coffee)

Paper cups - like those used for fountain beverages and hot coffee - are NOT accepted for recycling curbside or at ecopark.

Due to multi-layer, multi-material composition, this item cannot be recycled at this time. Please dispose in trash. Use reusable mugs and drink bottles instead to reduce waste.
