Yard Waste

With the exception of Christmas Trees, yard waste (leaves, grass and hedge clippings, brush, tree limbs, etc.) is NOT accepted at ecopark. Many municipalities have yard waste collection/drop-off programs. For a fee, private landscaping companies also provide on-demand yard waste pick-up service and may allow residential drop-off. Uncontaminated yard waste is not accepted for disposal at most landfills in New York.

Food Scraps/Other Compostable Material

Food scraps and other compostable materials are NOT accepted at the ecopark. There are several private companies in Monroe County that offer residential curbside organics collection as well as drop-offs through local farmer's markets. Check each site's list of acceptable materials, participating locations, and fees.
